A design for a creature within Jadespurn. They're a marine predator, rather like the dolphin or whale. HOWEVER, unlike the dolphin/whale, they are FULLY adapted to living under water. They means they can breath sea water, through the gills found on their sides. Some people keep these creatures as pets, and pierce their tails and side fins in a show of their ownership. Some, more beastly owners, will even pierce metal bars through the tough ridges covering their eyes, which are there to protect the Phâlïne's eyes from the small fish Teraxth, which tend to burrow into their prey's eyes until they reach the brain. The markings on a Phâlïne are individual, and no other creature in the world has the same mottelings. They can have from 150 to 250 teeth within their mouths, and are carnivorous. The tail can develop up to four fronds on either side, and the minimum nomber is two. They give birth from the slit on their tail, specifically the one with two smaller slits facing diagonally away from it. The two slits lower down are for excrement and urinating purposes. The dorsal fin upon their back is ridged with a strong bone, and is designed to be able to cut through smaller marine animals, when the Phâlïne charges into them. Their name is pronouned "Phu-loine".
